THE LOST PARADISE!
by sanidhya srivastava

Today once again I thought of scrounging
the old heap of those uncountable precious gems!
the gems,
which store within them a thousand memories
of those early days!
the days when innocence dominated over hypocrisy!
no worries , no hurries!
so was the eagerness of
returning back home!
stepping down the streets,

Winter Bird
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

I was a valued, vaunted veterinarian, maintaining health for animals I loved,
As a rainbow sparkled rich colors, from the moment peach sunshine shoved.

I was dedicated to such adorable patients, and they soon responded in kind;
Like the sameness march of each season, as a vivid parade of years unwinds.

Treating wounds and prescribing medicine or surgeries, filled the lemon days;
As blooms relish, but never comprehend, entering into gilded sunshine phase.

Friends and I had frivolous picnic fun, in green, flowering fields of no farewell,

sandhill crane

a bright ripple on the breeze
pulses of lonely trilling

glancing skyward he catches
an hallucinatory glimpse
of her sand-stained wings

as if to avoid his gaze
she glides effortlessly into the

The Last Stop Before Home
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

The next stop is the one I've waited for so long,
So eager now to see the smiling folks back home,
For memory now plays an old well-known love song,
Ever drawing one back, no matter where they roam.

So eager now to see the smiling folks back home,
And to frequent all the places that I used to go!
It ever draws one back, no matter where they roam,
Like honeycomb draws bees, toward golden tomorrow.

When Harry Came Home
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

As birds do in the serenity and majesty of sunset skies,
Some lose their inherent passion to roam.
So, we danced amid candlelight and the fireflies;
We did so when Harry came home.

His European adventure at an end,
After searching, after seeking hither and yon,
World traveler with a homeward trend,
At ease with shiny wood, pastel chiffon.

Yellow Cottage
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Cottage door open
A blooming path welcomes you
back home once again
Hollyhocks have been calling
with the scents of the roses

Warm nights are mellow
and bluebirds fly at the moon
Your letter brought joy
saying you'd be coming soon

When Harry Came Home III
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Summer was lush when Harry came home;
And birds sang among southern trees.
Here at last, and no more to roam,
So, we danced in bloom fragrancies!

When Harry came home, days were lazy;
And all sultry were the nights!
When Harry came, fields of daisies;
And butterflies on vivid flights!
