Winter Solstice, Camelot Station
by John Milo Ford

Camelot is served
By a sixteen-track stub terminal done in High Gothick Style,
The tracks covered by a single great barrel-vaulted glass roof framed
upon iron,
At once looking back to the Romans and ahead to the Brunels.
Beneath its rotunda, just to the left of the ticket windows,
Is a mosaic floor depicting the Round Table
(Where all knights, regardless of their station of origin
Or class of accommodation, are equal),
And around it murals of knightly deeds in action

In the Land of Giants
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Early one morning, as fresh springtime was just ending,
I was hiking in the woods, and overhearing the birds sing.

And with a tranquil heart, and lost in a deep green world,
I was reveling in the gaiety, of lovely morning unfurled.

I hummed as I walked, while feeling a fine cool breeze,
That took the sweat from my brow, with the customary ease!

I walked on until the path, had become quite unfamiliar,

A Bittersweet Experience
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

I was in my backyard sunning, while lost in warm daydreams,
Enjoying red raspberries, while listening to the birds sing.

Lying on afternoon chaise, in the golden midst of hot July,
As I watched mauve butterflies, and lazy dragonflies go by.

Charmed by the bluest of skies, and the fragranced fresh air,
I felt that surely, there was not a better place anywhere!

The flowers were so lovely, and the grass was so deep green,

I Felt So Out of Place
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

The sunshine and singing birds, awoke me that fine day;
And warmth caressed my face, as the wrens began to play.

I stretched luxuriantly in my bed, while smiling broadly,
At the gaiety of beautiful summer, in all its fair glory!

Since I had no desire, to waste the splendid day in bed,
I arose with plans for an outing, now forming in my head.

It was finally the weekend, so I invited my friend along,

Eighteen Years Old, October Eleventh
by Joe Haldeman

Drunk for the first time in her life,
she tossed her head in a horsey laugh
and that new opal gift sailed off her sore earlobe,
in a graceful parabola, pinged twice on the stone porch floor,
and rolled off to hide behind the rose bushes.

It gathered dust and silt for two centuries.
The mansion came down in a war.

For twelve thousand years

Cyberpunks, these kids are
by Udeesha Arora

Nails urge to screech against the blackboard;
To drag down the once-smooth surface, down, down, and down,
To produce the most uncomfortable sound known to mankind,
And to stir something within the frozen senses of my heart —
This heart has been confined by the abhorrence of emotions
From all nooks and crannies,
And now, it has come to the verge of stopping to beat.
I wanna feel alive.

The rigidity of my flaming anger —
