Seven Heavens

Accounts of the seven heavens are manifold.
Peopled by ancients, and by angels controlled.
Here is a description of the seven heavens
embraced, I’m told, by faithful Mohammedans:

The first heaven, consisting of pure silver bright,
holds angel warders who hang out the stars at night.
Each brilliant orb hung like lamp on golden chain;
it is where Adam and Eve now have their domain.
