No Wait in Vain : Poets Meet

For decades I waited
And you did not come
To listen to my rude insertion
Finger a sound at the back of my throat
And the vibration of my name

For decades I wanted to meet

ते ना मला उमजले ना तुला समजले
by Apurva Phulari

A Love to Cherish
by Aditi Hayaran

Let me tuck a flower—
A pretty accessory, to your hair.
As a best friend, as a lover,
Let me spoil you with my care.

Let's have late-night walks,
And visit the park nearby.
Let me make you laugh,
And hug you tightly when you cry.

arrived in a boat, named

Each second feels protracted

Running from Fate
by Birdie Lucas

I am fifteen and I do not dream of houses and husbands and children
Like the other girls around me
I am sixteen and I don’t care if the boys don’t notice me
I surely do not notice them
I am seventeen and I am so different from everyone in my town
I cannot wait to leave
I am eighteen and I am leaving for college
Finally free from the judgment of my small town
I am nineteen and I drop out
I pack my bags and move to a city

Take All The Time You Need - December 9th, 2023
by Gilligan Snolepart

Take all the time you need
But, if you can, don't be too long
Decide the Life you’ll have
And the Path you'll walk
I get that it's about you
Not anyone or anything else
And it is!

But if it has us two on it
I want to see it
