Erato My Muse of Love and Poetry (Part 2)

Great passions that should have remained dead had been woken
and words that should not have been said had been spoken.
The door to love was pushed opened wide, and dare he enter in
to lie close with erato at his side and lovemaking begin?
Or, will his passion be confined to just loving poetry alone,
To dream only of their bodies entwined and passions left unknown?
He'd been pierced by Erato's dart andneeded his love to share.
and unrequited love's broken heart would be so hard to bear.
Whine

Bring the wine, a symphony in a glass,
Where time stands still, moments to amass,
Ripening grapes, their destined purpose in mass,
A taste of eternity, a love that will last.
I defy the taxman's relentless plea,
My dignity's price, I'll pay with glee,
You can't strip me of my autonomy,
For my treasure is mine, and I'm carefree.

I’m the voice of reason...
Now listen to me closely...
You’re entering an exciting new season...
What your fickle parents taught you...
Wasn’t all together real...
So I’m going to tell you something...
That will change the way you feel...

Sometimes the imagination is such
it reaches heights reality can't touch.
And so I do not think that I should choose
to go to bed with my attractive Muse.
I'll take some advice from a fellow man
And resist the temptation if I can.
But the flesh is weak and easily led
and still may try to get her into bed.
If only my Muse was

If only my Muse was not so admirable
then I would not find her so desirable
and I’d not be tempted to go astray
whenever my pretty woman passed my way.
If only my Muse was not so beautiful
then I'd behave and not be undutiful.
Life would not be hard and difficult
and there’d be far less trouble and tumult.
