in the misty fountain spray
thrilling to summer's last steps
in midst of birdsong
in a park of pleasantness
so peaceful near the flowers
radiance rules the daytime
echoing through night

Before I met her at the airport
Where I was dazed by her words of splendor
I loved her
Before I heard her rich, throaty laugh
Before her voice made me dream
Before the butterflies came
And the blushes were consistent

honey glazed eyes
and careless fingers
you ask of me
and i rest
for how else will my body
will keep loving yours?
