by Graham Ereks

'I'll be back soonest', he said to mama blithely,
Nescient of the state's cannibalistic hostility.
How can mama take this inhumanity likely?
Tear-drops every day, thanks to brutality.

You dragged me on the ground, does that make you feel good
You took my life away and you did it in my hood
You said you felt threatened so I guess it’s okay
