ehold the womb
That ancient room
Where life and death begin
Behold the womb
My child's tomb
A soul never to be born
Behold the womb
Where death does loom
......
My songs of praise have fallen silent
Silent as my baby's cries
That mustard seed of loving faith
Sits now black with decay
I prayed for mercy and wept for healing
But those pleas dispersed to stillness
Stillness, like the haunting empty stillness
Instead of baby's kicks inside
Divine comfort holds for me no draw
It wasn't comfort that I sought after all
......
There's a part of me that grieves
And always will
A part of me that has gone dark
The light will no more shine there
A piece that cries
Ceaselessy
Mourning the loss
Mourning the life that never was
But was a part of me
The rest of me moves on
......
What a horrifying realization
A snapshot burned into my memory
A bloody hand
And a grief too terrible to name
The horrible red color covering my vision
Legs shaking, As I stumble to my feet
Blood dripping onto the cool tile
Nausea rising like a tidal wave
Before it crashes, hard
As I lose all sembalance of composure
......
