Listen to me now and heed my voice;
I am a madman, alone, screaming in the wilderness,
but listen now.
Listen to me now, and if I say
that black is black, and white is white, and in between lies gray,
I have no choice.

Listen out across the room
To others' conversations
They seem to flow so sweet and free
Nothing like my emotions
Jealous of the way they speak
With confidence and humor
As though they know their priorities
Of which mine, I'm never sure
......
While you’re watching over all your children from above
Listening as they send to you a prayer
Please God will you take some time to listen to my child
And find a way to let her know you’re there
Through the years she suffered a very tragic loss
Her happy life was shattered; torn apart
She tries so hard to hide the lonely tears she cries at night
She tries so hard to hide her broken heart
......
Children are people,
Like adults they have feelings.
No matter their age,
They are human beings.
Listen to them.
Let them know that you care.
Lend them your ear.
And for them just be there.
You may not understand the issues brought up.
Silly drama to you or school-house gossip.
