Divorce
by Jackie Kay

I did not promise
to stay with you till death do us part, or
anything like that,
so part I must, and quickly. There are things
I cannot suffer
any longer: Mother, you never, ever said
a kind word
or a thank-you for all the tedious chores I have done;
Father, your breath
smells like a camel's and gives me the hump;

Why should a foolish marriage vow
by Paul Durcan

Dear Nessa - Now that our marriage is over
I would like you to know that, if I could put back the clock
Fifteen years to the cold March day of our wedding,
I would wed you again and, if that marriage also broke,
I would wed you yet again and, if it a third time broke,
Wed you again, and again, and again, and again, and again:
If you would have me which, of course, you would not.
For, even you - in spite of your patience and your innocence
(Strange characteristics in an age such as our own)
- Even you require to shake off the addiction of romantic love

Affect Of Breakup In Relations & Children's Lifes (Poem) By Christen Kuikoua
by Christen Kuikoua

In life Relationship,
Useless Battle Between Couples
Must be avoided
Because there is no need for negative energy
In the midst of Love
My Bible say love cares
Love protects, Love put a smile on faces
Love forgives & Finally Love don't hate
I am no expert in love
because I myself always learn from it

Life Is To Short To Score Little (Poem) by Christen Kuikoua
by Christen Kuikoua

It Is not Death Most people are Afraid Of
But it is getting to the end of life only to realize
That you never truly lived
Most people On Their Dead Bed,
Don't regret the things they did
but the things they didn't do
The risks they never took
and Finally the dream they didn't pursue
So if I ask You today
will you last Words be ' If Only I had'

Purple Gameboy
by Gonzalo Mendez

Locking my door before escaping to a blanket fortress
where a Gameboy waits beneath my pillow
helping me ignore the calamity from the rooms beyond.

Mother’s second husband,
whose fingernails find purchase in her neck
draining the stars from her veins.

Transparent and plastic, I tremble
tracing the shapes over and over unaware

Dissolve
by Prem Sarito

'Dissolve'
A carefully chosen and humane word
To describe the ungluing by judges
Of sacred vows.

'Disolver'
Una palabra cuidadosamente elegida y humana.
Para describir el despegue por parte de los jueces.
De votos sagrados.

Do You Know
by Jeffrey Pipes Guice

Do you know how much I love you
Even though we live apart...
Do you know how much I miss you
And always have right from the start...

I’m sorry your Mom and I used to argue...
But there’s one thing on which we both agree...
We truly love you with all our hearts...
You mean the world to her and me...
