Born in Algeria, raised in Belgium, I got interested in fashion illustration at a young age, studied science at 18, picked up a Polaroid camera at 19 and started writing as soon as I could write. Poetry inspiration: Izumi Shikibu, Rumi, Mahmoud Darwish, Jacques Prévert. My poems are usually combined with polaroid photography to create synergy. I write mainly in English and sometimes in French. Fun fact; my native language is Dutch, but I don't write Dutch poetry. I hope one day to be good enough to write poetry in Spanish and/or Arabic.
