Sjeng zit op het terras,
de zon op zijn gezicht.
Sjang leunt tegen de muur,
in de schaduw,
en zegt niets.
Sjeng lacht om de dingen die komen,
Sjang denkt aan de dingen die gaan.
De een bestelt nog een pils,
de ander telt zijn stilte.

Vilified for being different
Only accepted based on their own interest
Greatness comes from a complete disconnect with the status Quo
But every time I tried, the society told me no
They spent years praying for a miracle
The idea of me being the answer seemed horrible?
They tore down the very thing that came to build them

Jij loopt niet in de pas
alsof het pad zich aan jou moet vormen
de wereld kijkt,
soms vragend,soms huiverend
maar jij blijft.
Je woorden zijn niet gemaakt
om te passen in dozen
ze breken regels
zonder te schreeuwen.

‘Coquette’
I didn’t know there was a word for
a flirtatious woman
in particular.
Sometimes I like how my curiosity makes me
want to learn things
that won’t matter in a few months,
or weeks
or days.
