Candle to the clock which is ticking slow,
With a nudge, she said, "Watch me glow."
The clock sighed and rolled her eyes,
With a firm tone, said, "Time is running; be wise."
"But see, I'm glowing!" Candle spoke.
"Every other candle does, some even better than you," the clock added with another hand stroke.
"Isn't it fascinating I'm one of the ones which glow?" the candle said in a whining voice.
