Somewhere in the garden

Somewhere in the garden,
There's a statue of me and you,
Coated in gold and made out of clay,

And they'll honour it and love it,
They'll covet it and want it,
Right up until they throw it away,

The clay is cracked and broken,

Broken home

they broken the window frame and door.
neatly closed the gate when they where done.
they took the bottles off the shelf.
unplugged the mice from the computers, left them on the table.

the night after, every thump or sound at all made us wonder
trimmer in our beds and wonder
was it them aging? back for the rest of our most loved items.

3 weeks later, still in fear
