Vessel

I am a vessel with flesh, bones and a brain
I possess all the qualifications of being a human yet I don’t resonate with one.
I can speak, I can think, I have a beating heart
Yet, I simply don’t feel human.
People tell me to express myself like it’s easy
I find myself pounding on that inner wall of the vessel screaming to get out, but nonetheless, I fail each time.
I am not eloquent or articulate unless I am alone
To me, self isolation is something that comes naturally,
The feeling of isolation is comforting yet it feels so lonely.
