Nigeria My Motherland

Nigeria our great and beloved motherland,
where multitudes of tribes unitedly stand.
Our land of hope by two rivers divided,
with lush vegetation by nature provided.
Nigeria our home of people resilient.
A land of great icons in works diligent.
We hail thee our great and revered black nation,
our land of human dignity and redemption.

Naam ki aazaadi toh paa li tumne
Kya btao sach mai kabi azaad ho paoge
Ye raam mera, ye Allah tera krte krte
Aur kitne bantwaare karwaoge.....
Ye lahu hai laal mera btao konsa dharam hai mera..

Liberty or Death

Yet could not chain our voice,
Nor silence freedom's poise.
They burnt our homes to dust,
They crushed our dreams unjust.
But still we rise with flame,
With liberty in name.

National War Memorial

A newly built monument, National War Memorial ,in capital shows,
number of gallant soldiers, since independence we lost.
central obelisk along flame of eternity, symbolize amarta aka immortality,
coz living in countless hearts after sacrificing lives, is far from mortality.
six bronze murals in a gallery, represent veerta aka soldiers' bravery,
coz staying high and fronting munitions for tricolor, is an act non-ordinary.
granites with carved names on wall of honour, depict tyag aka sacrifice,
......
The Loss

One dark night,
And an old baby in front of my sight.
I found her laying alone,
Searching for her toy which is already gone.
Wrinkled face and folded skin,
Inscribing thousands of country maps within.
Long days, She has forgotten to smile,
......
