Crush on a Roommate
by Prm S

I see him come in, after our dinner with a smirk in his face,
looking at you, as a tool, he will soon abase,
annoyed with his untimely presence, I grin with haste,
while he stares at your chest, even while untying his shoelace,

You hug him in front of me, dreamy and bright,
Showing him to your room, excited for the night
My sunken heart can't deal with this plight,
I probably won't be sleeping as well tonight,

analysis of infatuation

i love you so
(i hate myself)

i admire your depth,
(i feel so hollow all the time)

your words send shivers down my spine
(yet i'm empty, formless)

i'd shout about you from the rooftops

Anderson CMXXII
by Lee-Ann Azzopardi

I am hurting for yr body
Naked in the corner there
Where the Greek sun shines
Yr innocence is not anywhere
You lost it long ago
And I want for yr touch to teach me
As my inexperience craves for knowledge
Only you can give
The warm, summer wind lies on our bodies
Kissing them with delight

Earnest Hesitation
by Prm S

What's wrong? She asked...
and then there was a long silence...
"nothing," he said...
between 20,000 thoughts he was fighting instead,

For he had been waiting for a reply...
for her to say "I love you too"...
but, there she stood unaware...
that her silence has opened up 20,000 insecurities of the man ahead...

A Multitude of Woes
by Carl Halling

Yes, there was a time
I was obsessed by melancholy,
I saw deep sadness,
The quality that so tormented
My former favoured idols,
Poets, painters,
Musicians, actors,
Creators of every kind,
As glamorous and romantic,
But it’s not,

Beautifully Ruined
by Aditi Hayaran

(Note: This poem is written solely for a poetry challenge, and I do not support any form of abusive relationship, nor do I romanticize it.)

He loves me, right?
He does, in his own ways.
It's sometimes gloomy, sometimes bright—
"Single shade is boring", he says.

I don't understand
The disquiet of the people around.
Even with moments of hurt that soon mend,

Basic Instinct
by Mario Odekerken

The body knows
before the mind admits.

A flicker in the eyes,
a pulse quickening,
a step already chosen.

Instinct cuts through
the layers of reason,
leaving only

E.
by Benjamin Gonzalez

You are a fire burning from afar at night
seen by every thought and every question
and every doubt birthed by the fog that was my mind
you are the question mark that mocks the end
the hyphen that frays me

You are my moon, throned in
the starless night that is my
memory. tides flood my shores
ripples of longing as you circle
