Shepherd Lane

I watch the midnight fog condense;
On Shepherd Lane I wait.
No stars assuage my solitude;
No winds dare stir so late.
But still I sit on Shepherd Lane
To linger with the dew.
Knowing well you’ve forgotten me,
But still I wait for you.

Do you suffer loneliness at night?
Keep a hold
Are you stirred, shattered and shy?
Don't let it go
Is there any doubt when the hurt, the hurt it does you proud?
Draw circles round the targets,
Look how far you've came.
With bare feet, keep running

holding an umbrella for you

Dwindling through the air.
I am not convinced it's fair.
From whence comes this cold icy wind?
Ignorance; frigidly frozen.
In aftermath, my vision I'll rescind.
The glassy path I haven't chosen.
The past winter my friend.
In the avalanche I stand.
