The silence hums beneath the vaulted sky,
a breath held by stone, too sacred to sigh,
Pews sit empty, ghosts of prayer remain,
echoes whisper where voices once did reign,

The air is thick, like dust on forgotten words,
a stillness that trembles, unseen, unheard,
In this hallowed hush, time dares not bend,
only shadows linger, with no end,
