As i relax this afternoon
I noticed a book I read long ago
Remembering the first time I opened it
My Dad was in the hospital dying
The memory gave me shivers
And I wondered why I kept it all these years
I guess for the remembrance of him
But I questioned if I should read it again
Since time has passed and the emotions
Of losing him subsided
