Sunup

beyond blue mountains
deep gold horizon sunrise
a peach rose unfurls

suddenly so green
and baby jays are singing
blindsided by spring

rise up at pink dawn
the early bird is crowing

Wakey Wakey
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Red rooster is crowing, perched on a split rail fence,
In the bloom of a rosy dawn, when all nature is tense.
In the chocolate colored trees, of the emerald leaves,
Baby bluebirds are cheeping, to the spicy warm breeze.

In a love affair that's endured, ages of sunlit years!
Purple shadows are drifting, the world partially awake,
And it's still a shadowy mystery, what destiny will make.
Perky squirrels are scampering, the sun is on his way,
Sweet life is beginning again, for it's a brand new day!

six pm-fireflies

opening bloom-scents
early afternoon-shadows

Awakenings
by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Cool overnight rains, bear a fresh burst of spring,
Peach and pink hues grace gardens, youthful playing!
Pale lemony sunshine, at warmth's golden beginning,
And everywhere you roam, there's a novel happening.

Pink butterflies in circles, a bronzed loop de loop,
And masses of cherry blossoms, preceding red fruit.
The grass so green, pearl dewdrops gone one by one,
Like the shadows that flee, in feverish awe of the sun!
