Sixty-One Years Of Memories

Husband dear,
How shall we celebrate this day?
As I clasp your loving hand, I say,
"Let us look to God and pray
To thank Him for the many years
He blessed our lives and claimed our fears;
And for family our home did bless
Which gave us so much happiness."
I am thankful for precious memories
Of days we worked with so much pent-up energy;
Of the constant love we had for each other,
Content and satisfied, no need for another.
When sickness or sorrow came to our house
We stood by each other as a comforting spouse.
Now we are apart, only God knows why
But love is just as strong between you and I.
We can't live together in our home anymore
But some day we'll dwell together on that Heavenly shore
Thank you God for sixty-one years of memories.
