Missouri The Gateway to the West
the center of our land, is home to
many pioneers from different
states and some from foreign lands. They came for a better way of life
than what they had before, to work
and build upon the land and some
even to explore. Tom Jefferson bought the land
by chance in Eighteen Hundred
an' Three, so very fortunate are
we to have it with its mighty
rivers and its mighty trees. The people are of hearty stock
and its spirit a mighty flame
I'm proud to live in the Show-Me-State
Missouri is its name.
