i’ve always craved the sunshine

longing for winter to pass

and to feel

warmth radiating from within my skin

again

but i’ve come to crave the cold of winter too

that feeling of the frostiness being melted away by the sudden comforting warmth of

a soft cozy sweater

a warm cup of hot chocolate

the heat waves from the flame in a fireplace

or the touch of someone else
