The Traveler

Along the Paths of Poseidon,
An improbable journey,
Guided by the light of Orion.

The navigator's way,
As the sunken ships of Cortes
Inspire,
A testament,
To Passionate fire.

The allure of the spoil,
Fogs the traveler's sight.
Knelt before the Castle's drawbridge,
Does the conqueror lament,
His quandary of purpose.

At the entry to the abyss,
Across the River of Charon,
A leap of faith.

The Traveler,
A paradox of being,
Blessed by Turin's Shroud.
