Beneath the quilt of starlit thread,
Across the skies where comets bled,
I drifted far beyond the blue,
To speak with all the universe knew.
I sat upon a silver ring,
Where Saturn’s whispers softly sing,
And cried aloud to endless night:
"Is there love for me in this life?"
The stars, they shivered; galaxies turned,
Black holes sighed, their wisdom burned.
The moon leaned close in ivory glow,
"Tell me, child, what wounds you so?"
I spoke with a voice of cracked porcelain,
Soft but trembling, raw with pain:
"I have loved with all my heart could hold,
Given warmth through winters cold.
I have known their shadows, their storms,
Held their hearts, though bruised and torn.
Forgiven cuts that bled me dry,
Met silence with hope and still I try.
I understood when they turned away,
I whispered light to their darkest day.
Yet each return, a heavier chain,
Bound in cycles of hidden pain.
I gave and gave 'til there was none,
But they devoured the very sun.
And now I drift in fractured rhyme
Is there love for me in this lifetime?"
The stars fell silent. The void was wide.
Planets trembled, yet none replied.
I sat alone on cosmic thread,
Hearing echoes of words unsaid.
But then from realms beyond the veil,
Where dreams are born and angels sail,
A voice emerged not loud, but clear,
Resonant in my deepest ear
"Child of starlight, ocean, flame,
You ask of love? You ask my name?
I am Love eternal, vast,
But not what breaks, nor what won’t last.
You have poured from rivers deep,
Into souls who only sleep.
You have lit the lantern bright,
For wanderers lost in endless night.
But know this truth that cosmos keep:
Love for others is not all love reaps.
The love you seek, the love you crave,
Must first be given to the soul you save.
And that soul, dear heart, is you.
A galaxy waits inside of you too.
Not scraps from those who cannot see,
But fountains flowing endlessly.
You ask me if love exists for thee?
Child, it waits where you dare to be
In the mirror, in stillness, in breath,
In the part of you untouched by death.
For those who take and never give,
Are shadows passing through those who live.
But you you are eternal flame,
They cannot smother, cannot claim.
Stand, child, in starlight’s grace,
Love yourself, and hold your space.
And when you do, you’ll see me there
Not in absence, but everywhere.
In the song of dawn, in oceans wide,
In the hush of peace where tears have dried.
In the arms of one who sees your worth,
In friendships forged from gentler earth.
And yes, even in this life’s time,
Beyond the pain, beyond the climb
A love awaits, deep and true,
But first, dear heart… it starts with you."
I sat in silence, letting it land,
A universe resting in my hand.
I wept not from sorrow, but release,
A breath of hope, a breath of peace.
And slowly I rose from Saturn’s ring,
Carrying echoes that stars did sing.
I still wonder, on some nights,
"Is there love for me in this life?"
But then I place my hand on heart,
And know the answer I am the start.
The cosmos whispers, soft and free
"You are love. And love is thee."
