Reflections

The Blue Ridge Mountains are like pulsing arteries.
The heart lies in the Shenandoah Valley.
The coursing blood was spilled to create a nation of patriots.
Sacrifice gave life to the United States of America. Standing here, I am reminded of my mother country.
My heart bleeds because it is a divided land.
Families are torn, the nation is broken,
I can still hear the cries of sorrow carried by the winds. God led me to America.
My life took root in the Good Earth,
where dreams were kept alive by hope.
Now, my youth is gone. I dream for, I yearn for,
Everlasting,
Peace.
May God grant peace.
