The colour I always picked was you,
Making everything gorgeous—
that's your hue
That was consuming fast.
In my book, you,
the colour which dominates the vast.
Never knew,
the ink was getting low and low,
The marker was getting faint and slow.
Dear, if I ever knew that
I would be left with just the body, no ink,
I would've never used the marker
with every blink.
The pages containing you are the best,
Your vibrancy that overshadows the rest.
Here I am complaining to the moon,
How dare you leave me so soon!
You evil lady, you got me attached!
I'm left with other colours;
you're still unmatched.
Oh, dear, you're the star
That shined the brightest before it falls.
You're the lightning strike
That lights up the room before the darkness covers the halls.
You, my dear, my sunshine
How dare you leave me with only rain,
With thoughts devoid of rainbow in my brain?
Still, on every page, I'll write your name.
You should've coloured more pages
before you left, for me to see.
Without you,
my book will never be the same.
Oh, Divine, why this soon? Why did you snatch my charm away from me?
I know what you're saying from the sky
With your playful smile,
"Honey, I was there for a limited time,"
Oh dear,
I remember your smile, your embrace,
Before you said the final goodbye.
Your coloured pages,
an enchanting sight—
After you, all black and white.
Your presence made it most beautiful,
Before you part.
You, my dear,
Still vibrant, still alive in my heart.
I turn back to see those pages,
Again and again to see you.
Oh, dear, with every fibre of my being,
I still love you.
