This grand old Lady standing graceful and tall
says welcome home to one and all.
When out on the ocean she comes in view
she represents peace for me and you. She stands for liberty and so much more,
for those who enter her beautiful shore.
She's a gift from a country far away
for whom we thank, "more everyday." She has greeted many men coming home from war.
We pray this duty is done no more.
Some never knew of her greetings to tell
because on the battlefield they fell. Those who could see her laughed and cheered.
She welcomed them home, "Where there is no fear."
Miss Liberty, "America loves you so much."
