Christmas day brings lots of cheer
To the children every year
And so grown-up folks as well
All the great glad tidings tell.

Our dear Lord was born this day
In a manger far away
With no pillow for his head
And no blanket for his bed.

Let us thank our Lord above
For his kindness and his love
And be thankful that we are
Born of Him our "Guiding Star"
