The Darkness of the Night

Every morning, when the sun comes up,
And the night fades away,
And the birds sing, and the people laugh,
I awake from the bright light of the sun,
And the hope that the night will go away,
But my mind stays asleep,
In the darkness of the night,
Yet my body dance sand, my smile shines bright,
Still, in my head,
I am lost in the night.

Every morning, when the sun comes up,
And the night fades away,
It gets closer and closer to my birthday,
The day meant for happiness, smiles, and love,
The day meant to celebrate life,
Is the day I dread,
Because all I want to do is die.
Well, not die,
But I don’t feel alive,

Every morning, when the sun comes up,
And the night fades away,
It gets closer and closer to my death date,
The date where it all stops,
The love, the laugh, the experience of life,
The date,
Where my mind isn’t lost in the night,
