The Trees

The trees are standing
cold and bare, yet regal
in the brisk chilly air
I remember when summer
was here, their dresses
of leaves brought such
cheer, but now winter has
arrived with its ice and
snow and each limb, has
frozen stiff, when the wind
blows, not one lifts, The trees
are havens for birds rest, where
they build, and stir, their nest
Now they huddle with fluffy
breast. Whether in winter dressed
in white or in spring their greenery
is so bright, I find trees a
Picturesque sight.
