In the flower pot we had,
We planted a seed.
We'll take care of it, we promised,
We'll provide its every need.
It germinated soon;
As the seedling started to glow,
The sweetness flooded,
Without anything restricting it's flow.
From reassurance and care,
The plant grew.
With our equal efforts,
It became a shrub, pretty and true.
Nourish the shrub with love
Which we both together planted.
You plucked the leaves one by one,
Is that what you really wanted?
It's getting weaker;
I'm trying but what else I should do?
I can't do it alone.
Why did you break your promise so true?
It's getting worse day by day;
It's all dried up, maybe it died,
It won't come back to life again,
Even if, for it, I cried.
The flower pot is still there, left alone,
With detritus and lifeless wood.
It breaks my heart to look at it,
Why didn't you nourish it as you should?
In the soil, the roots are still somewhat alive;
The uncertainty driving me insane.
Don't come back now after ruining it all,
I'll never grow a plant with you again.
All that sweetness and care,
Even that reassurance was a lie?
You should've never grown that plant
When you wanted it to destroy.
