In love with the romance of death?

Or what it represents
If asked to accompany him willingly
Would you voluntarily accept

An elaborate web of enticement
Spun with strands of your life
Leaping from the rocky cliff
Without ever closing your eyes

The tales of grandeur are false
That resides in your head
Confusing the senses of reason
There is no honor in being dead

No glory in the coffin
Long forgotten you will be
Just another lifeless body
Cold in eternal sleep

So, if death calls upon you
With firm resolution politely decline
My apologies faceless one
I have a previous engagement
Call upon me other time
