The Elm Trees Of Maine

The Elm trees by the river
Are a lot like Gothic Arches
I saw in France with Lillian
Except each limo is different
And the arches form feather top
Against the grey clouds lowered
Over Wyto itlock
Before the Mosquitoes come.
Of course the leaves haven't had a chance
To sprout and demonstrate their colors.
The Elms won't last though,
In contrast to the Arches;
Because the Dutch Disease has killed them.
So they hang there by their hair
Waiting for the End or for the
State of Maine to cut them down.
