Prasenjit Roy is the only son of Shri Pranesh Roy and Smt Chanchala Roy. He has completed Chemistry Honours and then pursued Master degree in Sociology, Economics and English. He also did Bachelor of Education. He served as Panchayat Officer under Govt of Tripura for 3 years and then he joined Tripura Police Service.
He mostly writes in Bengali. Till date his 05 books have been published-

5. Jahnavi (poetry).
Besides, he also writes in English. His stories and poetries have also been published in various notable literary magazines. He has won several awards and prizes in various literary competitions. Recently the poet has been married to Smt. Barnali Dey
