its unfair

its unfair
it really is
it's unfair that you came as easy as the wind did
and that you also left with such facility
it's unfair that you let me in the door as quickly as you kicked me out of it
it's unfair that you gave me a map to a place, without warning the ways could change at any time
it's unfair that you can break things without thinking twice
and i'm the one left picking up the pieces
it's unfair that you could make plans that would feel are made for two
and turn them into zero
it's unfair that i could so easily fall into the same hole i already fell before
it's unfair that i treat my responsibility towards you with such immense care
and you seemed to only look at it as something conditional
it's unfair that i have to hear your name every time i listen to a song
it's unfair that i have to remember your love every time i look at my writing
it's unfair that looking at somebody else's lips will remind me of your own
its unfair that i can still feel your skin on my handsĀ
it's unfair that you could make the world feel like it's easy on the shoulder
and also make it feel like i am being weighed down by it
it's unfair that you know how to live without my love
because you didn't teach me how to be without yours
it's unfair that i can't be angry at you
even though i could and sometimes think should be
it's unfair that you will always keep a part of me
it's unfair that we didn't stand a chance
or that we didn't give it one
it's unfair that i'm walking around without you
because i'm not sure it should be this way
it's unfair you could forget so easily
how good it can be
and it's especially unfair that i haven't learned how to be fair with myself
since you left
