Nigerian poet, novelist, short-story writer, painter and drummer, Nkwachukwu Ogbuagu, was born in Umuahia, south of Nigeria. Educated in Nigeria, he began to write novels at age 15, while in secondary school. He has published Bosheth Williams (a Bildungsroman), Words of a Shaman (a Bildungsroman), and My Dungarees (a novella). Many of his poems are published online. Some have appeared in newspapers in Nigeria. A writer of aphorisms, over 800 quotes of his, most of them quotable, are distributed worldwide, cited by people from all walks of life, corporate bodies, institutions, and cultural and political organizations across the globe, and appear on many websites and on social media. His quotes have also been cited by authors in their books. His painting and charcoal sketches have been exhibited in Germany. A lover of music, he is a drummer. Born into a family gifted with soccer-playing talents, Ogbuagu, good with both feet, played the game actively in his younger days, doubling as a striker and a goalkeeper. He still plays soccer during summer evenings.
