I lost a jewel

From that cursed day
That she left me with
A boiling wrath, I know
I know that I had lost a Jewel

So tell me not
To drop an Ogun river
Of killing tears
Because of her
For I am a Lion.

***Note that Ogun is a name of the river that passes through the Ogun State of Nigeria.
This poem is dedicated to Professor (Dr.) Oluwole Babatunde Soyinka "Wole Soyinka" as smidgin gift for his already celebrated birthday.
