Biography of Md. Kausar Uddin Ahmed

Md. Kausar Uddin Ahmed is a Bangladeshi poet, teacher, and final-year Pharmacy undergraduate at Manarat International University. While most people know him for his work in science and teaching, poetry has always been close to his heart, something he never truly left behind. The journey began in childhood. He still remembers it clearly, one of his elder cousins had a poem published in Pallab, the magazine of Civil Aviation High School. At that time, Kausar was in class three or four. That single moment left a lasting impression. By class five, if anyone asked what he wanted to be in future, his answer would be simple: “a poet.” Over the years, the dream shifted shapes, but it never disappeared. Now, alongside his academic and teaching roles, he writes poems rooted in real emotions—grief, memory, care, and sometimes, plain silence. His works have been featured in The Campus Mirror and Youth Wave, and some of his poems are also available online on Allpoetry and Poemist. His first jointly authored poetry book, Crosstalk, is currently on its way to publication. As a teacher, he serves as Senior Academic Mentor for Biology at Lakecity Guidance Counselling Education Centre. He is the founder of Binirman Academy and co-founder of IKO Pharma Hub. He also works as a Junior Research Assistant at Pratyasha Health Biomedical Research Center, where he has co-authored a peer-reviewed journal article published by Elsevier. He completed the Aspire Leadership Program under Aspire Institute (founded at Harvard University). Along the way, he has received a few recognitions, including: 2nd Place Award, World Pharmacists’ Day Instant Speech Competition 2024, Manarat International University; Global Top 6, Cellular and Molecular Biology Area, II Biogenesis International Biomedical Sciences Olympiad 2023. Kausar doesn’t see poetry as something separate from real life. For him, it’s simply a way to capture moments, emotions, and quiet truths, without needing too many big words. His poems often reflect his inner thoughts, the people around him, and the world he’s part of.
