Christmas Spirit

The wealthy familly
The christmas spirit
All bright and cheery
How can you fear it?
Room filled with laughter

The murdered turkey
Rots for days after
While hungry children
On their last chapter

Wrapped love from parents
This year there's ten
All for large fees
For ungrateful children
The pretty presents
Line dying trees

The stressed out mothers
Avoid disaster
And burned out fathers
Bruised from black Friday
Must smile from hereafter

Forgotten elders
Remember their dead
Another year lonely
Must fill them with dread

The smiling bankers
Counting their yearly
While workers too poor
To even be leary

Obnoxious songs
From moronic times
Laced with racism
And empty rhymes
Kick every outcast
And struggling mind
To write that note
And escape their life

They don't like christmas?
Just end their demise
Don't argue with reason?
Just patronise
Invite them over
To celebrate your life

The wealthy familly
The christmas spirit
All bright and cheery
How can you fear it?
