Transition

Transition

It's coming
It's here
Slowly
It's taking me over
It's overshadowing,Overbearing
It's tearing in and breaking through
I'm caving in, I'm giving in
It's taking over me. I should fight it,
I always fight it
I try but I can't stop it
I'm disoriented, eyes bloodshot
I'm breathing but not living
No one knows
I'm surrounded with people; living, dead and struggling.
There's a lot of them,
Yet they don't don't see, they can't see.

Years of accumulated hurt
Years of abuse,
Rejection and pain
It's stronger than it started
It's strangling, I'm dying
I'm suffocating
Pain kills
Heart slows
Body stiffs
Veins disappear
I'm gone but never gone
It's the transition
Feels like death
Because I'll never return to where I used to be
I'll never be the same
I'm transformed
Reformed
Renewed
But gone.
