In the summertime, the warmth of the sun baked
The desterted suburb street
Too hot to play, we stayed in the basement
Playing floor hockey or watching TV
Until someone illegally released
the fire hydrant
And we played in the water, trying not
To get caught by the fire department
Until dinnertime
As the sun still brightly watching
There were some one firing up the barbecue
With the thick smell of hamburgers and beers
It was still hot at dusk
And gone to neighbour's pool to cool off
'Till the moon was fully lit
Then it's time to head home
As the rain started
