The Ancient Forest. (Part five)

The Ancient Forest, what secrets do you hold?
Today I will journey, looking for secrets to unfold.
Deeper and deeper into the forest I will travel,
Looking for mysteries; for secrets to unravel.

A lone Oak tree in the distance stands!
Arms of Oak and gnarled twisted knotty hands.
Is this the mystery; secrets I`ve been looking for?
As I`m drawn nearer, my steps faltering, unsure.

My aging eyes I wipe! questioning what I see?
The face of an old man looking down at me.
Eyes opening slowly, the old man spoke to me,
Do not fear me; I am the spirit of this Oak tree.

This he told me; the old man in the Oak tree.
Flora the Goddess, keeper of all natures flowers,
Asked me to wait for her under the Oak tree!
400 years have past, but Flora never came.

Now my spirit is trapped in this old Oak tree,
Waiting for Flora to come and set me free!
Until that day I will in spirit be; the Oak tree,
And wait for Flora the Goddess to rescue me.
