Biography of KIRK PUTTLITZ

Born with a pen in hand and the whispers of verse in my ears, I began scribbling poetry as a teenager. Now, at fifty-five, the passion still burns, its flame fueled by a yearning for connection and growth. I seek a community of kindred spirits, a haven where my poems can find a home and where honest feedback can nourish their roots. Poemanalysis.com serves as my window to the greats – Dickinson, Bukowski, Wilde, Longfellow, Ginsberg, and Dylan Thomas – their words a wellspring of inspiration. Ted Kooser's "The Poetry Repair Manual" has become my guide, his wisdom a gentle hand leading me through the intricacies of the craft. Robert Lee Brewer's "The Complete Guide to Poetic Forms" unlocks the doors to sonnets and terza rima, offering me new landscapes to explore. With each poem, I feel myself blossoming, my voice finding its strength and clarity. I am a poet in the making, forever learning, forever growing, and forever open to the transformative power of words. Your comments are the sunlight, the rain, and the fertile soil that will sustain my poetic garden. Please, share your thoughts and help me blossom into the poet I strive to be.
