Then and now

(quadruple tetractys)

Then,
photos,
sepia tone,
daguerrotypes,
showed posed portraits of parents and children.
In the Forties, black and whites were tinted:
skin tone; blue eyes;
rosy cheeks.
Then came
more
with
Kodak
Polaroid
and video tape.
Digital cameras require no film;
images of people and sunsets
are reduced to
just zeroes
and ones,
now.
