Flicker Of The Unspoken

There was a pull, unseen, that drew us near,
A bright spark that danced beneath a quiet fear.
We felt the warmth, but never dared to speak the name,
Afraid to call it out, afraid to stake the claim.

Our hearts were tethered by a single fragile thread,
But words stayed locked, too heavy to be said.
Every glance a promise, yet we always turned away,
For love that burns too bright can make us stray.

In the silence, we both held the trembling flame,
Not knowing if the heat would be our shame.
The fire flickered, unsure of its fate,
Yet still we stood, bound by this twist, a heavy weight.

And now, I wish I'd spoken through the night,
To say the love I held was true and bright.
But still, we wait, as our hearts begin to see,
A love that grows deep within eternity.
