PALEO PAIR

Hands rapturously slashing satori
Bang !
Light released filter down, bats brushed skin
to fly knowingly low, then water gushed
through cracks
snakes, spiders, scorpions across our toes
stones spoke in singular sound as
Sun set in whirlwinds bound

cave was nowhere, yet everywhere
Beethoven symphonies were future
shadows written on our vacant palms
to prior walk with Harry the Strandloper
was an unspoken intent by ONE for
beloved paleo duo
Khoisan shores we were profoundly to
absorb, adorned with seashell bracelets
before on velvet concert seats
to sit enraptured

no thoughts tornado continents waiting
our ignited hearts
unnamed species filled surrounds
we knew not of wisdom
shafts in darkness protected
our irises reflecting stalactite,
dolomite, dynamite
anchovy offering themselves
our hunger appeased

we were Power, seasons our compass
receiver and giver abundant
celebration, protection or
Divine intervention were unknown
variables not yet defined

a oneness merging with heather
whispering as red dust made
cave patterns pore
voices faraway clamped our knees
it was future shackles of Bastille
through time tunnels terrible
vacant minds a pair
just Sky, Earth, us
caves, wolves, bears
Fire !

then womb lustily grew
berries and tubers fat
nipples started leaking, crows cackled
she was born in running River pinking water
cord to trout we fed, who offered us
white flesh in turn
Sun roared into navel
in, out, up and down
cave walls slapping Spring to bring

Heart expanded lungs, metallic sounds sung
a hammer forged to chop stone strong
swallows still equalled human tribes
harmonious fly
my eyes pushed out his to flush awake
nostrils flared flaked

slowly Darkness dragons dissolved
Paleo pair evolved
