Too Beautiful to Cry

If I praise your beauty, then it's not you
that I love, but your face
Yet you need to capture my sight before I
can look past your face
So in that sense, I guess I'm in love
with your face

Take the sting out of my hands,
So when they touch you, it won't hurt
as much as they may have
intended
Take the harshness out of my words,
So when I speak, you won't have any reason
to be left so hurt and
offended

I shall teach myself how to make you smile,
For in my eyes, you're too beautiful to cry
Drop your troubles on me,
Like a support group, I'll always be there,
whenever you need to
talk

My hands like the softest petals,
Your pretty cheeks will never know how
it feels like to be wet like they were
never taught
I'll be more than just another lie,
For in my eyes, you're too beautiful to cry

Hold that pose, picture perfect
With you in my arms, instead of "cheese",
how about we say, "I love you"
Moments are forever, true
But feelings fade and hearts break, even so,
I'll still say, "I love you"
I'll treat you like an Angel, always
For in my eyes, you're too beautiful to cry

I'm speechless towards you,
Like a surfer in persuit of a perfect wave,
I'm searching for words
I need to tell you how I feel,
But when you look at me, it's always as if
you know it already
Purify my mind so I never think of hurting you

For in my eyes, you're too beautiful to cry
I'll nature your face,
Like a blood diamond, I will kill just for
your eyes to notice me
Your happiness comes first,
Like an eight-year old, I'll treat you like
you're my favourite toy

To me you resemble the sunshine
For in my eyes, you're too beautiful to cry
If I praise your beauty, then it's not you
that I love, but your face
Yet you need to capture my sight before I
can look past your face
So in that sense, I guess I'm in love
with your face . . .
