Lady Liberty

I
It's the rhythm of the oceans,
And the men who guard the seas,
With lights from the lighthouse,
We avert most tragedies. II
Between a rock and a hard place,
Stands the towers with the lights,
Keeping ships from grounding,
During long and stormy nights. III
There she stands our lady,
Stark and weathered for all time,
Standing there she beacons,
For all the world to find. IV
Many nations laughed at us,
As freedom reared it's head,
Yet we stand united still,
Like our Constitution said. V
But the meaning of that lighthouse,
Stands guard for all to see,
Keeping ships safe by night,
And our people safe and free.
